Society for the Advancement of Transplant Anesthesia is the global community of anesthesiologists who care for patients before, during, and after solid-organ transplantation. We educate, we publish, we set standards — together.
Two days of plenary lectures, hands-on workshops, and curated case discussions covering the full breadth of solid-organ transplant anesthesia.
SATA brings together the people who do the work. Three pillars, one mission: better outcomes for transplant patients.
200+ hours of recorded lectures, journal club, protocols, and the curated Article of the Month — searchable in the SATA app.
A multicenter quality-improvement program that helps transplant centers benchmark their care, surface variation, and improve patient outcomes — securely, and without adding to the perioperative workflow.
From ERAS protocols to NRP ethics, SATA's research arms shape the guidance our members rely on.
Twenty-three transplant anesthesiologists join the inaugural class of Fellows of the SATA, recognized for sustained leadership and education.
Members can now access vetted protocols, dosing references, and meeting media on the move via the SATA app powered by C8 Health.
Centers can now enroll in Phase II of the multicenter Liver Transplant Anesthesia Database with simplified onboarding.
Selected by the Education Committee for its clinical relevance to liver and cardiothoracic teams adopting NRP. Includes a SATA-curated discussion guide and decision aid.
“The Article of the Month is what tells me what to read on the train. It saves me hours every month.”
Council updates, member spotlights, and one editorial worth your time.
“Our patients deserve perioperative care that is consistent, evidence-based, and humane. SATA is how we make that happen, together.”
“The regional meetings are where I find the people who have actually managed the cases I'm worried about.”
“SATA is the rare society where the journal club is genuinely useful at 7am.”
“FSATA gave structure to the things I was already doing — and a community to do them with.”
